Macromedia We were hired to create “ColdFusion MX7 Getting Started Experience,” an online tutorial that steps new users through the process of using ColdFusion MX7 to create database-driven, web applications. ColdFusion was being positioned as the logical next step for DreamWeaver users and so we focused our due-diligence on this group. Early in our research, we discovered that the problem was much more fundamental than Macromedia had imagined—DreamWeaver users, expecting a similar tool, were confused about what ColdFusion was and the role that it plays in delivering dynamic content. With this knowledge, we were able to offer an improved definition of the problem and provide a solution that exceeded client expectation.
